Nitro #140 Cottered roller chain is premium quality, high strength chain that is manufactured to the ANSI B29.1 standards. All of the #140 cottered chain components are manufactured from a high quality carbon steel that is shot peened and heat treated. This gives Nitro™ roller chain increased strength, durability and wear resistance over longer periods of time. The cottered roller chain has cotter pins on one side, which allows for easier disassembly of the chain. (No grinding of the pin head)

Features
Solid Bushing & Roller
Manufactured with both solid rollers and solid bushings, which offers better wear resistance and longer service life. See the advantages of using chains with solid bushing over split bushings
Solid Roller
Manufactured with one-piece solid cold forged rollers that offer smoother contact with sprocket teeth and will not distort under heavy loads.
Pre-Loaded
After assembly, all chains are pre-loaded to seat the chain components and eliminates any initial elongation on a new chain.
Lubrication
Pre-lubricated in a special formulated lubricant through a hot-dipping process. This process ensures the lubricant penetrates and evenly coats the entire chain & chain joints. This results in better lubricant retention (less spin-out) that offers better wear resistance and improved service life over cold-dipped chains.
Heat Treated
Advanced computer controlled heat treatment is applied to all critical parts to maximize the strength and wear resistance.
Shot Peened
Parts are shot peened to add better fatigue resistance and helps prevents cracking from higher loads and wear from operation.
