Description & Specifications
81XH roller chain is a heavier duty version that uses thicker link plates over the standard 81x chain. This chain is built with solid rollers, solid bushings and quad staked alloy pins for improved wear resistance and longer lifespan over cheaper alternatives. 81XH heavy duty chain is great for moderate to high shock loads.

Features
Product Features Of Nitro™ 81XH Chain
Premium quality chain with improved features that results in longer lasting chain over many competitors.

Solid Rollers
Smoother operation between the chain & sprocket as well as better lubricant retention between the roller & bushing.

Solid Bushings
Will not distort under heavier shock loads that results in less stretch.

Quad Staked Pins
Able to withstand more frequent and higher shock loads.
Thicker Link Plates
The 81XH series chains are enhanced by using thicker link plates. This adds fatigue strength, allowing the chain to withstand higher & repeated shock loads.
Solid Roller
Manufactured with solid cold-forged rollers for smoother contact with the sprocket teeth and to resist distorting under heavy loads.
Solid Bushing
Built with solid cold-forged bushings for superior wear resistance that results in service life 2x to 3x greater than split bushing chains. See the solid bushing advantage.
Quad Staked Pins
Pin ends are quad staked rather than the standard dual staked pins. Quad staking offers enhanced strength while enduring higher shock loads.
Chrome Plated Pins
The chrome plating has an extremely hard surface that has greater wear resisance over standard heat treated pins.
Pre-Loaded
After assembly, all Nitro chains are pre-loaded to a minimum load required by the industry standard. Pre-loading seats the chain joint that eliminates any initial elongation in a new chain.
Lubrication
Pre-lubricated in a special formulated lubricant through a hot-dipping process. This process is critical to ensure the lubricant penetrates and thoroughly coats the internals of the chain. The special lubricant offers better retention (less spin-out) and improved wear protection over chains that are cold-dipped.
Heat Treated
Advanced heat treatment is applied to achieve optimum hardness for strength and wear resistance.
Shot Peened
To combat fatigue failure from repetitive loads & wear, a compressive stress layer is added through shot peening.
