Weld On Sprocket Hubs
Nitro weld-on hubs provide a strong, permanent way to mount sprockets, pulleys, and other components onto a shaft or driven assembly. Welded directly to a face, plate, or mounting surface, these hubs create a concentric, vibration-free connection built for power transmission and conveyor applications. All Nitro weld-on hubs are manufactured from carbon steel and finished with a black oxide coating for added strength, weldability, and corrosion resistance.
We offer two styles of weld-on hubs so you can match the hub to your mounting method and load requirements:
X Series Weld-On Hubs
Bored-to-size hubs compatible with any Nitro "X series" sprockets and pulleys, as well as custom applications. X Series hubs are available in finished bore, square bore, hex bore, idler, and splined bore configurations, with bore sizes ranging from 1/2" ID up to 1-1/2" ID. These are an ideal choice when you need a fixed bore matched directly to your shaft.
Taper Bush Weld-On Hubs
Machined to accept standard tapered bushings, these hubs allow for quick installation, easy removal, and reliable shaft alignment, reducing maintenance time across a wide range of applications. They are available in two styles: Type S standard-duty hubs for general use such as sprockets, pulleys, and conveyor rollers, and Type WA heavy-duty hubs with increased wall thickness, engineered for higher torque and load-bearing applications like agitators, mixers, and large conveyors.
Welding Instructions
We recommend using Low Hydrogen Electrodes for welding all hubs and their mating components. You can view the welding instructions here.
