X Series — Off-The-Shelf Combination

X Series hubs are bored to size and drop directly into a matching X Series sprocket, so no machining is required.

Taper Bush — Machined Combination

Taper Bush hubs mount components using a tapered bushing rather than a fixed bore. Because this series is not offered as an off-the-shelf sprocket/hub combination, a Type A (flat plate) sprocket is machined to fit the hub and then welded in place.

The Sprockets

Weld on sprockets are made to conform to ANSI B29.1 standards for sprockets. Nitro sprockets are manufactured from 1045CD (Cold Drawn) carbon steel with hardened teeth and finished with black oxide.

The Hubs

X Series hubs are available in a wide range of bore styles such as round bore, hex bore, square bore & splined bore. All Nitro X hubs are manufactured from 1020CD (Cold Drawn) carbon steel and finished with black oxide, and most are furnished with a keyway, setscrews, or both depending on the bore style. Taper Bush hubs are machined to accept standard tapered bushings and are available in Type S (standard duty) and Type WA (heavy duty) designs.
