Description & Specifications
160H-2 roller chain is a double strand heavy duty version of our standard 160-2 chain. This chain is manufactured with thicker link plates to improve link plate fatigue resistance.

Features
Engineered to Outlast.
Built to Perform.
Every component is precision-manufactured and rigorously tested that delivers maximum strength, wear life, and reliability under the toughest conditions.
Thicker Link Plates
The Heavy series uses thicker, heavy-gauge link plates that increases fatigue strength resulting in higher working load capacities. Engineered to withstand higher and repeated shock loads in the most demanding drive applications where standard chains fall short.
Hardened Link Plates
Hardened link plates deliver superior fatigue strength, engineered to absorb repeated shock loads and high-impact forces.
Solid Rollers
Cold-forged solid rollers ensure smooth, uniform sprocket engagement and resist deformation — even under extreme loads.
Solid Bushings
Cold-forged solid bushings provide 2–3× the service life of split-bushing chains through vastly superior wear resistance. See the advantage →
Pre-Loaded (Pre-Stretched)
Every chain is loaded to industry-standard minimums after assembly, which seats all joints to eliminate initial stretch right out of the box.
Heat Treated Pins
Advanced thermal processing achieves extreme surface hardness offering the best wear resistance.
Shot Peened
A compressive stress layer is applied to critical surfaces, dramatically increasing fatigue resistance against cracking from repetitive loads.
Hot-Dip Lubrication
A proprietary hot-dip process drives lubricant deep into every pin and bushing interface — delivering better retention and wear protection than lightweight oil alternatives.
Product Care & Maintenance
Maintenance and lubrication is crucial in the overall performance and life span of roller chain. Proper lubrication will reduce abrasion, chain wear, friction, noise and keep chains running cooler at higher RPM's. You can download the Nitro Roller Chain Care below.
