40SS-2 is a double strand ANSI roller chain with a standard 1/2" pitch. The double row roller chain is manufactured from #304 stainless steel material. The Nitro™ 40SS-2 roller chain us both solid bushing & solid rollers to increase the overall strength and longevity. Stainless steel roller chains are great for highly corrosive applications as well as high/low temperature environments.

304 Stainless
304 stainless material is highly corrosive resistant and can withstand hot/cold environments with ambient temperatures ranging from -40°F Up To 752°F.
Solid Roller

Pre-Loaded
After assembly, all Nitro chains are pre-loaded to a minimum load required by the industry standard. Pre-loading seats the chain joint that eliminates any initial elongation in a new chain.
