Our #160-2 double strand press-fit connecting links are built to achieve the chains maximum strength. Unlike standard slip-fit links, which can reduce a chain’s maximum working load capacity by 15% - 20%, these press-fit links maintain the full rated working load of your ANSI #160-2 roller chain.
The press-fit design provides a secure, interference fit that delivers superior holding power in demanding applications. These links are ideal for heavy-duty industrial equipment, conveyors, and power transmission systems where strength and durability are critical. It's recommended to use these in high speed & repetitive shock load environments and when the calculated working load is within 40% of the chains published max working load.
Because of the tight fit, installation requires pounding the side plate on, making them a bit more challenging to assemble compared to standard slip-fit links.
The center plates between the strands will be slip-fit style with the outer plate being press-fit.
