The press fit connecting pin is the full-strength way to join WDH110 welded steel drag chain. It's sized for an interference fit in the sidebar, so the assembled joint carries the same rated working load as the rest of the chain. Use it anywhere the connection has to be as strong as the chain itself.
Like the chain it serves, the pin is heat treated for strength and wear resistance in abrasive, high-shock drag conveyor service. The tradeoff is installation: an interference fit has to be pressed or driven home, which takes more effort and the right tools. When downtime is tight and field conditions are rough, see the slip fit pin instead.
